The Next Few Months...

Byran and I continued dating. We went to each other's work Christmas parties and celebrated the New Year by watching movies and snuggling (even though I was sick). Byran took me on really creative dates like Christmas Lights at Temple Square and around town, the U2 Laser Light Show, glass blowing, and many more.  We also watched ALL of the Harry Potter movies together as I finished reading each book.

November 12, 2011 Our Second Date: University of Utah vs. UCLA

After our first date, I didn't think I would ever see Bryan again. (Mostly because I was 5 YEARS older than he is...apparently he didn't mind.) But we kept in contact through texts and he asked me to come out with he and his friends to dinner. I had to decline because my roommates and I were having our own dinner party and instead invited him to my house.

We played old school Nintendo Olympics and ate Indian curry and naan and laughed at the boys competing with each other. They were such good sports.

Bryan hung around after everyone else left and asked me to come to a University of Utah football game with him. Despite my aversion to the color Red (GO COUGARS!) I said yes.

We ate Red Robin at the MUSS (Mighty Utah Student Section) tailgate party and tried to stay warm while it snowed.

our first picture together!

October 31, 2011 The Day We Met

October 31, 2011 is the day Bryan and I put on our Halloween costumes as young single adults for the last time.  We both separately attended the University Institute Halloween dance with friends.  I was dressed as the Morton Salt Girl, Bryan was a drunken Mexican...
I saw Bryan for the first time as he ran up to join a group of kids dressed as a mariachi band, singing as loudly as they could. I thought it was hilarious that he and his friend Bryan (yes, that's two Bryans...) would join a group of guys that they didn't know.
After that we exchanged  numbers and he texted me the next day and asked me to go to a haunted house with him. Our first date was Wednesday November 2, 2011. The haunted house was closed but we went bowling and that's when I fell in love with Bryans dance moves and he fell in love with my bowling skills.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

A New Blog

This is a new blog for our little family.  It will be similar to the old blog with one big difference.  The main purpose of this blog is to record and document our lives which will then be printed and published into a book at the end of every year, a virtual scrapbook of our family.  I know this is not a novel concept to blogging but I have frequently found myself looking down the road and I see our lives getting a lot more complicated and busy in the future and I'm trying to find ways to simplify our lives now, before all that "craziness" starts.

I hope to keep the look and language of this blog worthy of publication. All posts and pictures will be for the sole purpose of publishing into our family scrapbook or photo album at the end of the year. I have given this a lot of thought as I tried to decide how I wanted to keep our family memories and I knew that printing pictures and scrap bookin' just aren't for me.

Feel free to follow and comment as usual as I would love to publish comments in the family photo album at the end of the year as well but please don't let that stop you from commenting! We would love to read what family and friends had to say for years to come!

Welcome to our virtual scrapbook!
